New: margu-NotebookInfo2 Version 2.3.2
The beta phase is over and I’m presenting here the current version 2.3.2 of my gadget.
Requested by many users, I have now installed the option to save and restore the gadgets settings. For this a text file will be created whose path and name can be chosen individually. Thus, we can now for example a determined configuration of the gadget easily take on other computer.
Another feature is already known from the beta, the display of disk usage. In addition, the network throughput can be shown.
The flyout for the hard disk module (accessible by clicking on the hard disk icon) displays information about connected hard disks and their partitions.
All other changes you’ll find on the page Changelog.
The download link is as usual on Downloadpage.

When running with the calendar, the day number does not seem to get updated to the next day at midnight. Just selecting the Options and then cancelling out will cause the number to be refreshed properly.
i cannot get the harddrive montiner to work . i press OK and it does nothing
mine (v 2.2.9) stuck with the famous initial load thing….
I think it started after certain windows update…
perhaps the update change the API or require certain security access
after reading other post, i disable uptime, and it work…
deleting + re-add the gadget will fix the bug, but bug re appear after restart…
sorry for bad english
Hallo,
ich habe auch das Problem, dass wenn ich das Modul “Uptime” aktiviere, nur die Anzeige “initial load. Please be patient …” bekomme.
Win7, 32bit, Auflösung 1680×1050
Selecting uptime breaks the gadget who stays on “Initial load … be patient”. Please fix it
(Win 7 x64).
I can send you my settings file if needed.
Posted (almost) the same on other location and then I saw this log for 2.3.2 specificly…
Version 2.2.9 worked ok on my notebook. Unfortunately 2.3.2 doesn’t. When I start it after installation, it works ok until I change the config (e.g. selecting additional info ‘Uptime’ (the only thing I changed: Show Net usage is disabled)); after that it keeps saying ’Initial load. Please be patient…’ while slowly more and more memory is being allocated. Looks the same as xkronite’s without the crash…For now I’ll stick to 2.2.9…
Just sits there saying “Initial load. Please be patient…”
I think the problem is with the new show net usage feature. The gadget is working fine with that disabled.
Yes, i have the same problem as xkronite. Win7, x64, HP notebook. Previous version works correctly.
Same problem as the other 2 users. Running Win7 Pro 64 on HP Desktop. Any change to settings after initial setup, then it hangs during initializing load. Yes, I tried to deinstall the old and new version, then reinstall the new version–same problem. Going back to the old version . . .
I am getting the same problem as xkronite. Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
xkronite » Did you try to make a clean install of the gadget – deinstall and then install the new version?
On my notebook it works without crash (Win7 x64 8GB).
Could you please try on whitch module you get the error? It will help me to see where the error is.
Thanks, Margu
Complete CRASH on Win7 x64 8BG. It works if no changes made to settings, but once changes are made, the GUI never comes up – just stays at “be patient”. Going back to previous version that worked flawlessly.
